Project Issue and Focus
Due to the pandemic situation contacts teachers - students are severely limited. This makes it difficult to prepare undergraduates who come to college with weaker knowledge they need to master the first semesters. At the same time, it makes it difficult to teach graduate students or doctoral students because of the absence of contact with their teachers and supervisors. In university settings, self-study is typical, which creates great opportunities for the application of computers to integrate IT into teaching in virtual online learning environments.
In practice, however, only generic software exists and IT tools are absent that would enable the placement of quality pedagogical educational content on the WEB. In a previous Visegrad strategic project of the V4+ACARDC consortium, an IT infrastructure, specific educational software WPadV4 and a methodology for automating the creation of educational packages and multilingual support were piloted.
The project therefore aims at applying and developing the previous outputs in an online regional educational portal V4-EduPorte, which would be accessible to both teachers and students.

Within the project blocks, teachers and experts would select and compile educational content separately for undergraduates and separately for specific teaching programmes of higher levels of study.
In a separate block, IT tools, educational software and IT infrastructure would be addressed, including modelling the creation of multilingual materials, where educational content in the languages of the V4 countries would be linked to English, German or French using the services of current Internet language technologies. In this context, it should be stressed that within the expertise of the V4+ACARDC consortium we did not find a similar research focus on the WEB or a suitable multilingual educational portal in the Visegrad region. However, we found and participated in the UNESCO event on the OER (Open Educational Resources) strategy and made first contacts (USA, India, we are planning Germany). In other words the project would also explore the possibility of synchronizing and using these educational materials on EDU-Port. This is also interesting from the point of view that OER is also embedded in the national policy of Slovakia (civil society category) but this is not implemented in practice, so the project would also link the policies of the V4 countries with UNESCO.
